The founder of Knichel Logistics, William Knichel, began working in the railroad transportation industry in 1974. In 1986, he entered the third party IMC business. After operating for years as an independent agent for a national carrier, William formed Knichel Logistics in the spring of 2003. In January of 2007, William’s daughter Kristy took over the family business as President. Knichel Logistics is a very family-oriented business with Kristy’s brother William Knichel Jr. holding the position of Vice President and her sister Kandy Knichel-Barkley functioning as Vice President of Administration. William’s years of experience have brought us to recognize the importance of providing our clients with a strong customer focused program.
Since our inception, we have earned a reputation in the transportation industry as a reliable and valuable logistics provider with a dynamic, experienced staff. We strive to build and maintain lasting relationships with our carriers, so that with their help we can provide you with the smoothest transportation experience possible. Simply put, ensuring that every job is carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner is what we do.
Knichel Logistics is built on a foundation of superior communication, because we know how important that is to you. Everyone – from shippers to receivers, from dispatch to delivery – is kept up-to-date on the status of every shipment. That’s our promise. And since simply making a commitment to strong communication is not enough, we take the extra step to prove it. Our constant goal is to ensure that the information we pass on to you is always current and accurate. In addition, we will respond to your requests and concerns in a timely manner and do everything in our power to resolve any issues that may arise.
We always focus on maintaining the personal relationships and attention to detail that only comes from a well-trained staff. Our operations staff is constantly re-training in multiple aspects of transportation, and the entire Knichel team works tirelessly to increase knowledge of our customers’ products, transportation requirements and expectations.
The sales staff at Knichel Logistics has an average of over twenty-five years of experience in the transportation business. Our goal is simply to be the best third-party logistics provider in the industry. But we don't stop there. We're constantly working to improve and advance everything we do.
