Blanket Services
Knichel Logistics provides blanket services for companies and customers with temperature-sensitive products.
Generally, freight blankets are used during the winter months for commodities that are subject to freezing, such as beverages and certain types of food products. For example, a customer that ships bottled carbonated beverages from a warmer climate to the north during the winter months would use the blankets to cover their product to protect it from freezing and rupturing.
In a situation where protecting your shipment from harsh weather is paramount, Knichel would arrange for the blankets to be delivered to the shipper. From that point, we work one-on-one with the consignees to arrange for the timely return of the blankets to their original destination. Blanket services can be provided for either intermodal or over the road shipments.
